A crucial part of pre-party prep is to make sure your hair colour is looking good and your tresses are in ship shape condition. CHARLOTTE SKIDMORE visits award- winning hairdresser Steven Smart to get some tips on making sure that happens
On arrival at Steven’s salon SMART:EST73, in Weston-super-Mare, I have a clear question on my lips: ‘How do I get a great colour but make sure my hair doesn’t dry out right in time for Christmas parties’?
As a World Hairdressing Champion and owner of an international award winning hairdressing salon, I’m pretty sure Steven Smart has the answers.
(The salon is indeed very ‘smart’ and quite fit for an award-winning hairdresser by the way).
Steven’s top tips for maintaining the condition of your hair after colour are:
• Straightening is extremely bad for your hair. Find a different way of styling your hair and keep it to an absolute minimum or don’t do it at all.
