Paul Jessop, who owns the pottery at Barrington Court in South Somerset, has just told me how long his kiln will take to get down to a safe temperature. I give up the idea that I’ll see his newest work while I’m here - I don’t have two days to spare.
The shop at the front is set up as a viewing area so visitors can look over to watch him work. Doesn’t that put him off?
