“YOU’RE SURE IN THERE,” the garage man said, standing near his tow truck. I knew that already. If I weren’t “in there,” I would not have called him.
We both considered my predicament. I’d parked too close to the wall, so the passenger side of my car was lodged behind the frame of the garage door. I couldn’t back out and I couldn’t pull up.
How had this happened? After all, we have a large double garage. There should have been plenty of room. But I have to admit it wasn’t the first time I’d done this. In the past, by maneuvering the car a few inches forward and back, I’d been able to ease it far enough to clear the doorjamb.
