WINTER is upon us and if, like me, you enjoy a leisurely stroll to the local pub for a pie and pint you know it won’t be long before the scales creep up. Reducing exercise and increasing my calorific intake means additional pounds pile on. So my New Year Resolution is (once again) to lose weight and exercise more!
The same issue happens to our pets. Commonly we see weight gain in our patients over the colder months. Exercise can be reduced due to bad weather and shorter days; which results in a quick trot round the block in the dark in the pouring rain!
