Smartwatches began as a passing fad, however, it later turned out to be a trend that’s here to stay.

For the past several years it has become more and more common to see people walking around with little screens on their wrists.

With 22 million units sold worldwide in Q1 2017 alone, wearables have made a huge impact in the technology industry since it was popularised in 2014. Health and fitness seem to be the most common applications for wearables. Technophiles are touting it as one of the most useful devices in the 21st century as it can do multiple jobs despite its size.

Despite the abilities that people can leverage from this little device, there are some who remain unconvinced with the technology’s viability.
