UVI are well known for their instruments but also do great effects too, and their latest EQ might well, wait for it, put others in the shade

UVI are best known for their Workstation and Falcon hybrid synth, which collectively deliver an impressive array of sample and synthbased sounds. They are perhaps less well known for their effects, which include the excellent Relayer delay and Sparkverb algorithmic reverb. Up for review is Shade (VST, AU, AAX), the latest addition to their effects range. They describe it as a creative filter and EQ, and a quick look at the spec reveals extensive modulation. So, let’s find out what‘s actually going on.
