Live 1 (September 2001)
If you find yourself lacking inspiration, throw a random selection of samples into Live, record yourself messing about for a few minutes and before you know it, you’ll be well on you way to starting a new song. Live is a well thought out and creative piece of software. Whichever guise you use it in, it’s there to be played and enjoyed. Serious fun!

We just love it. Oh and we still haven’t been able to make it crash yet either.

Fortunately, the development effort appears to have gone into making a good concept even better rather than simply adding superfluous new features.

So has Live now earned itself a place in the ‘professional sequencer’ pantheon? You bet it has. Live 4 really does modernise and change many of the rules of sequencing for the better and it has absolutely blown us away.
