If a group of astronomers and stargazers at the Calvin College Michigan are to be believed, Earth dwellers may witness the merger and explosion of two stars in space. The system of two stars merging together is called Binary Star pair.

Calvin College professor Lawrence Molar and his research students have predicted a stellar phenomenon for the year 2022. Colleagues from Apache Point Observatory (APO) and the University of Wyoming also contributed to the latest prediction. According to them, the merger of two stars is a very rare phenomenon, especially when it is predicted to be visible to naked eyes.
