Cash Eating Mice!

Cash eating mice! Cash worth around Rs.12 lakh had been chewed away by mice from inside an ATM in Assam. The ATM had gone out of service and when it was finally opened, it was found that the currency notes were shredded to pieces by mice that had managed to get into the machine. Most of the currency notes were in the denomination of Rs. 500 and Rs.2000!

A man, attired as Lord Yama (God of Death) intercepted the two-wheeler riders, riding without helmets and gifted them each a rose with a request to wear helmets and follow traffic rules. This novel road safety campaign was carried out in Bengaluru by the traffic police to educate motorists as well as road users about the importance of road safety rules and of wearing headgears.

An intelligent concept yielding good results and increasing helmet sales too!

Earthy Expressions

Folk art and tribal art are easily recognizable - bright colours, bold strokes, quaint ways of representing people and animals. Many actually tell a tale! India being a vast country and with so many agricultural communities and tribes living close to nature, many art forms have evolved. Many have all but disappeared. Fortunately, there is an interest in such traditional art forms and efforts are being made to revive some of them. In the next few months, we will embark on a journey learning more about some of such art forms.

Conducting Cat Shows During the COVID-19 Pandemic

It was just over a year ago that we were all enjoying our hobby of showing cats. Some traveled extensively seeking high titles, and some just supported local shows. In all cases, there was social interaction with everyone, and we generally did not worry about spreading infections.
