‘We miss you KELLY'

In the year since actress Kelly Preston passed away after a two-year battle with breast cancer, her husband John Travolta has been privately grieving the loss. Marking what would have been Preston’s 58th birthday on October 13, he shared a sweet and simple tribute. “Happy Birthday Kelly,” Travolta captioned an Instagram photo of his smiling wife waving to photographers on the red carpet. “We miss and love you very much.”

In May, the Pulp Fiction star opened up to Esquire Spain about the difficulty of balancing his “personal journey” of grief with the overwhelming outpouring of public emotion about Preston’s passing. “You have no idea how many people have come up to me … and afterward I’ve felt saturated with everyone else’s pain that I didn’t know what to do,” Travolta said, noting that he still appreciates the condolences. “The first thing you should do while going through grief is going somewhere where you can truly mourn, with no interruptions.”
