Prince William PROMISE TO HIS KIDS

When it comes to combating climate change, Prince William knows there is “no time to waste”. And after spending his youth railing against his royal destiny, fatherhood has finally given the Duke of Cambridge his purpose in life – saving the planet for his children.

After more than a year’s worth of hard work, William finally saw his dream of starting a “transformative decade” – where the best minds in the world come together to help combat the crisis – come true. On October 17, the prince, joined by wife Kate Middleton, both 39, walked the green carpet at the inaugural Earth shot Prize Awards ceremony in London.

The ambitious project, created by William and The Royal Foundation, led to an unprecedented global search for inspiring and innovative solutions to combat environmental challenges. The star-studded line-up saw celebrities including Emma Watson, 31, and Coldplay rub shoulders with Sir David Attenborough, 95, scientists, and environmentalists.

“For too long, we haven’t done enough to protect the planet for your future. The Earthshot is for you,” William addressed the youth of today during the ceremony.
