Then

“It broke my heart and ruined my self-esteem,” Osbourne has said of her weight struggles playing out in the public eye.

Now

“It’s one of those things that you just have to commit to a life change rather than being on a diet,” she admits.

Save for her trademark lilac locks, Kelly Osbourne looked almost unrecognizable when she stepped out in Los Angeles on October 11. Donning a tight-fitting black blazer with slim-cut jeans and heels, the 36-year-old looked like a new woman. “I lost [38kg],” she shared in a comment on Instagram back in August. “Can you believe it?”

Fans certainly can now. After many years of struggling with her fluctuating weight, Osbourne has completely transformed her relationship with her body since undergoing gastric sleeve surgery back in 2018. “It’s the best thing I have ever done,” she shared on the Hollywood Raw podcast with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn back in August.

But the reality star insists that having the surgery didn’t mean she didn’t have to work hard to achieve her goals. “All it does is change the shape of your stomach,” she explained. “The kind of surgery I had … if you don’t work out and you don’t eat right, you gain weight. All it does is move you in the right direction.”
