Rapper, fashion designer and Sunday Service leader Kanye West has announced his next ambition. “We must now realise the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future,” he declared on Twitter. “I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION.”
His July 4 announcement, which came days after teasing a new song and a new album titled God’s Country, was met with mixed reactions. “You have my full support!” responded billionaire Elon Musk. “Too much foolishness today. #SitAllTheWayDown,” tweeted actress Octavia Spencer. “It’s obvious that some people live in a bubble. It’s about time to burst it.”
His wife of six years Kim Kardashian merely reposted his message with the addition of an American flag emoji.
