Harry & Meghan - DREAMS SHATTERED

In the wake of their interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle vowed to “live a life of service”. After such initial hype, as the first anniversary of the infamous tell-all passed, nothing seems to be quite working out the way the pair planned.

Despite big promises, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appear further away than ever from achieving their dream of being seen as major players on the international humanitarian scene. “Onlookers could be forgiven for wondering what exactly it is that the couple are doing after a year that, well, wasn’t,” royal expert Camilla Tominey told British newspaper The Telegraph after the pair only made a handful of public appearances between them to support their chosen causes.

The few times the once-popular prince, 37, has spoken out has seen him ridiculed and condemned. Fooling around in a pair of orange sunglasses and a hat, Harry appeared on-screen in an “awkward” new video released on March 12 to announce he would be attending the Invictus Games in the Netherlands in mid-April. The news came just hours after the former Army pilot confirmed he’d be skipping the Thanksgiving Service, in honour of his late grandfather Prince Philip, on March 29.

“[Harry will] go to the games but not to see his own Grandmother! What’s wrong with him?” asked one social media user. “He’s literally become a laughing stock, a total clown,” commented another.
