DEPP VS HEARD - WHO REALLY WON?

THE JURY HAS DELIVERED ITS VERDICT - NOW IT'S UP TO THE COURT OF PUBLIC OPINION TO DECIDE THEIR FATE
DEPP VS HEARD - WHO REALLY WON?

Their marriage was brief but volatile – with all the sordid, violent, hedonistic and at times, disgusting, details being televised across the world in one of the biggest courtroom spectacles that Hollywood has ever seen.

Actor Johnny Depp may have won his defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber, but there are no clear victors in the aftermath, just victims. Although Heard’s lawyers say she intends to appeal the decision, she faces financial ruin if forced to pay the $14.2 million Depp was awarded. Her acting career appears in tatters thanks in part to millions of Depp supporters signing a petition to have her removed from Aquaman 2, and now victims of abuse are also coming for her, claiming she’s done damage to the #MeToo movement.

As for Depp, he may have been hero-worshipped throughout the trial but can he ever reclaim the career that made him hundreds of millions, given some of the undisputed evidence that emerged such as the excessive drug use and graphic, violent and vitriolic text and email exchanges? The support from his “Deppford Wives”, as the legions of female fans that cheered him on outside court became known, can only take him so far.

SCARY TEXTS

Depp maintained during the trial he'd never struck Heard, but did admit to texting actor Paul Bettany that they could "drown" and "burn" Heard and, "I will f--k her burnt corpse afterwards to make sure she's dead", amongst other things.
