A-Rod & J.Lo: WHAT REALLY HAPPENED?

A month after denying initial reports that they had called off their engagement, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez officially declared the end of their relationship on April 15. Days earlier, eyebrows were raised when Lopez, 51, posted a picture of herself noticeably not wearing her engagement ring on the Dominican Republic set of her film Shotgun Wedding. Days later, Rodriguez struck a more nostalgic tone, tagging Lopez in a blue heart emoji when he posted a clip to his Instagram Stories showing off a table laden with loved-up photos, as Coldplay’s melancholy hit ‘Fix You’ played in the background. With cryptic clue-dropping out of the way, the pair – who got engaged in March 2019 after dating for two years – issued a joint statement. “We have realised we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so,” they wrote.

Cracks in the couple’s relationship began to appear in February when Rodriguez was dragged into a cheating scandal involving Southern Charm reality star Madison LeCroy. The hairdresser, 30, admitted to the New York Post that she had been talking on the phone and FaceTiming with the former baseball star, 47, but added, “he’s never physically cheated on his fiancée with me”.
