Yikes! It's Bra Sikes!

Bra Sikes is back in Turfloop and he only has one thing on his mind – revenge.
LEZANNE JANSE VAN RENSBURG

When it comes to sneaky, slithery criminals, Bra Sikes (Fortune Thobejane) takes the prize. Not only does he weasel his way in and out of prison, he also worms his way into Turfloop without anyone taking notice. But a few of his enemies will soon become all too aware of his presence – and they won’t like it one bit that someone as dangerous as Bra Sikes is slithering around the ’hood.

REVENGE IS SWEET

With Bra Sike’s son Noah (Austin Mothapo) still in prison for his involvement in the deadly Maphosa Nuts Factory fire in July 2019, Bra Sikes is on a mission to get some payback. Two incidents have been weighing on his mind that he simply can’t leave be: there’s that whole January incident where lawyer Leeto Maputla (Eric Macheru) slapped his stepson Noah in the face for being disrespectful. That alone causes Bra Sikes’s blood to boil – even though he wasn’t part of Noah’s upbringing, no one touches his son! Secondly, Leeto dragged his now-ex-wife Mokgadi (Pebetsi Matlaila) family’s name through the mud with a divorce party in July. That was the final straw for Bra Sikes. How dare the Maputlas disrespect him and his family?!

How exactly Bra Sikes plans on retaliating is a mystery. But we know he’s not alone in his devilish mission – Mokgadi’s villainous mom Mary Matloga (Motshabi Tyelele) is seemingly the driving force behind all the brewing chaos that’s about to descend upon the streets of Turfloop.

REVENGE SERVED COLD

The masterplan starts with Leeto’s unsuspecting and sometimes naïve mother Meikie Maputla (Harriet Manamela) and according to Fortune, “The main objective is to get revenge against the Maputla family for how they treated Noah and made him feel like an unwanted outcast.”

And with Leeto and Mokgadi having recently finalised their divorce on less-than-amicable grounds, there’s a lot of resentment on both sides of the Maputlas and Matlogas of this messy affair. “The two families were trying to be civil with each other because they were family by way of marriage,” explains Fortune. “But looking at the way things ended between Leeto and Mokgadi, whatever civil relationship the families had is now soured.” So when Leeto opted to throw that lavish, unashamed divorce party to celebrate his new-found singledom, Mokgadi’s mom Mary said “Enough!” If only Leeto knew what devils he’s unleashed with his splashy celebration…
