High school student Nontle (Petse Buntu) could easily tell Mpho (Junior Singo) that she’s in love with him or slide into his DMs. Or write him a love letter and leave it at his commune since she knows where he lives. But she’s shy about revealing her feelings for him, explains Buntu. “It’s her first romantic encounter. Nontle is clueless about approaching guys as she fears rejection,” adds the actress.
Nontle asks Zondiwe (Abigail Kubeka) for advice since the elder woman has years of experience when it comes to dating. Her advice? A love potion. “Nontle doesn’t think twice, she’s sold. She takes a dash of water from the mountain, a clove of garlic and a dash of strange spices (according to a supplied recipe). It’s a complicated and risky mixture but she desperately wants Mpho’s attention,” explains Buntu. Nontle puts the magical potion into a vanilla cupcake mix, bakes them and drops them off at Mpho’s work. But things get messy when the wrong man eats her baked goodies.
