Lehasa is all googly-eyed for newcomer Nothile, but is the attraction mutual?
LEZANNE JANSE VAN RENSBURG

Mixing business with pleasure is usually a bad idea, but when Turfloop business magnate Lehasa (Cedric Fourie) crosses paths with business coach Nothile (Mbalenhle Mavimbela), he simply can’t help himself. Things initially get off to a rocky start as Lehasa and the strong-willed Nothile can’t seem to see eye to eye…

LET’S MEET

Upon first seeing Nothile at the end of August, Cedric admits that his usually restrained character was completely “mesmerised by her beauty”. But this fortnight he’ll get to see beyond just her beauty and learn more about her – and most of what he’ll see, he’ll love! From her owning a business, to her outright independence, Lehasa simply won’t be able to get enough of her.

2020 OLYMPIA PREVIEW: THE OLYMPIA THAT ALMOST WASN'T!

I don’t need to remind any of you how Covid turned the entire world upside down this year. Our industry was business as usual until the Arnold Classic weekend in early March, when all hell broke loose. Just a week later, the Arnold Classic Australia was cancelled, which would be the first of many events to be either postponed by months or not held at all. Jake Wood had just bought the Olympia from AMI and reinstated the Ms. Olympia. Promoter Dan Solomon had brought the Olympia back to the Las Vegas strip at Planet Hollywood. Hopes were high, but uncertainty was rampant. Soon the most prestigious event in our sport was moved from its traditional September date to December. The doubters were out in force all over social media. “There’s no way they are having the Olympia this year,” was a common refrain. But Wood, Solomon, and the rest of the crew were determined that the show would go on, and they forged ahead. Now, as the mega event looms on the horizon, let’s look at the top contenders in this year’s ultimate muscle showdown.

CEDRIC BURNSIDE

Aged just 13, Cedric Burnside was immersed in playing blues music with his grandfather, aka “Big Daddy” - the legendary R.L. Burnside. Now commander-in chief of the second generation of Hill Country Blues, the younger Burnside’s latest album, I Be Trying, encapsulates the past, present, and future of a whole genre in a way that only he could. “It’s who I am,” Cedric says. “This Hill Country Blues stuff is definitely not new to me. I was born with it in my blood.”
