Besides a fake pregnancy and a lockdown wedding, much of this year’s storylines focussed on the first lady of KwaMashu Kingdom Church Gabisile (Baby Cele) murdering a family member, or crime couple MaNgcobo and Nkunzi (Dawn Thandeka King and Masoja Msiza) running round like headless chickens, protecting themselves from a rival who returned to settle a score. In short, 2020 was action-packed!
THE ENEMIES HAVE COME FORTH
When MaNgcobo discovered that her rich funeral parlor-owning husband Khathaza Khanyile (Sibonile Ngubane) had more than just a twisted mind – and that he was on a rampant killing spree – she knew that she had to get rid of him before he murdered more women. So she killed him at midnight on New Year’s Day. Within hours, MaNgcobo’s ex-hubby Nkunzi moved into her mansion and they rekindled their marriage.
