Cell-ebrities! As Felicity Huffman completes her two-week sentence, see why other notables spent time in the clink.

Felicity Huffman

All she wanted was to get her daughter into a prestigious school — even if the kid wasn’t necessarily top-tier college material.

Like something out of an episode of Desperate Housewives, the actress, 56, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud in a widespread college-admissions scheme dubbed Operation Varsity Blues. Turns out her $15,000 “donation” to an ostensible charity called Key Worldwide Foundation was actually a payment to have a special proctor help 19-year-old Sophia take the SATs, resulting in a much-improved score.

Huffman reported to the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, Calif., for a two-week sentence on Oct. 15. (She was also fined $30,000 and must do 250 hours of community service.) Clad in a standard-issue green jumpsuit, the mom of two was spotted Oct. 19 meeting her husband, William H. Macy, and Sophia on visiting day. The facility has been dubbed Club Fed for its cushy accommodations, including hobby time for origami and crochet, and a menu that includes fish sandwiches and Salisbury steak!

Charged with tax fraud, the mom of six, now 44, was incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution, Danbury, in 2013. “I’m a child of former slaves who had a system imposed on them,” she said at the time. “I had an economic system imposed on me.” She was released a few days early for good behavior and put out a single, “Consumerism,” that she’d completed while locked up.
