MY LIFE WITH ELVIS

CLAD in Prada, Priscilla Presley walked the red carpet at New York City's C Met Gala on May 2. At her side, handsome young actor Austin Butler. The pairing marked a full-circle moment for the 76-year-old. On June 24, Austin will hit the big screen in Baz Luhrmann's highly anticipated biopic, Elvis, about her first husband, the late music legend Elvis Presley. The 30-year-old is already winning raves from Priscilla. "Bravo to him," she tweeted after a private screening. "He knew he had big shoes to fill."

The film stirred up memories for Priscilla. "I relived every moment," she wrote in an Instagram post. "It took me a few days to overcome the emotions." After meeting "The King" when she was only a teen, she and Elvis wed in 1967, welcoming daughter Lisa Marie, now 54, in 1968, before splitting in 1973. Four years later, Elvis was dead at age 42, succumbing to heart disease likely brought on by his addiction to prescription pills. Now she reflects on her passionate but tumultuous relationship with the man who meant everything to her. "Priscilla knew Elvis better than anyone," an insider tells Star. "He was the love of her life and she's made it her mission to keep his memory alive."
