Carter proposes that he and Quinn run away together; she is speechless. Carter professes his love and admits he’d give everything up to be with her. Quinn responds that she loves him as well, but turns down the offer, explaining that she can’t leave everything behind, especially Eric. Carter is heartbroken.
Donna, Brooke, and Ridge discuss Eric and how much they loathe Quinn’s affair with Carter. They all agree that they want what’s best for Eric. After, Donna reiterates to Brooke that Eric is the only man she’ll ever love.
Katie is conflicted as Bill apologizes again, promising that he has learned from his past mistakes. Bill offers to prove how much he’s changed, but an emotional Katie tells him it’s too little, too late. After, Bill interrupts a moment between Brooke and Ridge to ask Brooke for a favor. Bill frets that he has lost Katie forever and asks for their help. Ridge counters that it’s not Brooke’s responsibility to fix his relationship with Katie.
