Y&R: WHO POISONED REY?
Soap Opera Digest|March 29, 2021
Rey’s blood test reveals that he’s been poisoned by a deadly substance called thallium, and a worried Sharon hasn’t left her husband’s bedside since he’s been admitted to the hospital. “It’s a concern that he’s not waking up,” says Sharon Case (Sharon). “After Nate tells Sharon that Rey’s been poisoned, she’s really scared because she doesn’t know if they can get the poison out of his system in time and save him. Sharon’s afraid he’ll die.”

Sharon is also carrying the extra burden over the sad state of their marriage. “They’ve been at odds for a long time because of Sharon’s feelings for Adam, and that’s been blurring all the lines of the future of her and Rey’s marriage,” Case notes. “When you’re at risk of losing someone, that’s when you start really counting the ways of how much you love them and what they mean to you and what your life would be like without them. It centers Sharon and helps her to realize not only how much Rey means to her, but how much she’s been neglectful of him.”

THAT'S THE SPIRIT - Aiden asks Chase to help him with an experiment: using a Ouija board to contact Franco. Chase tries to disabuse Aiden of the notion that Franco's ghost is behind what's been going on at Liz's. Later, Finn and Cam find Chase unconscious and take him to G.H. Portia diagnoses him with a concussion, then apologizes to Jordan for their earlier confrontation. Chase briefs Liz on what happened with Aiden. Jordan learns that the security footage from Liz's house has been corrupted and advises Liz to move out for the time being. Liz nixes bunking with Finn and Violet, but agrees to relocate to the Metro Court. Liz and Finn run into Lucy, and Finn pooh-poohs Lucy's belief in the supernatural. Liz privately confides in Lucy about what's been going on, and Lucy suggests that she seek the services of a medium.
