FOOLISH HEART

So B&B’s Zoe accepted an engagement ring from the very sincere and lovesick Carter, knowing she had the hots for fashionista Zende, who kissed Zoe’s sister Paris, who feels bad for Carter. Why would a woman accept a ring from one guy while she fantasizes about another, and doesn’t even feel guilty about it? Zoe is a piece of work, and Zende needs to tell her to take a hike, but apparently, he is titillated by her admiration for him. He needs to be more forceful in his words and let her know in no uncertain terms he has no interest in her, especially if she could hurt Carter this way. So happy to see Bill and Katie back, but where is Brooke? And Quinn and Eric? We love the familiar and miss them when they don’t appear for lengths of time. The newbies are fun for a few shows, but monopolizing airtime is a turnoff.

THE KINGS

THE CANADIAN QUARTET The Kings celebrate the 40th anniversary of their hit “Switchin’ to Glide,” which reached No. 43 in the U.S. in 1980, a lively song beginning with the line, “Nothing matters but the weekend, from a Tuesday point of view.” Their DVD The Kings: Anatomy of a One-Hit Wonder includes Dick Clark introducing them on American Bandstand and saying, “These guys have worked so hard and hit it so well,” before the group energetically performed “Switchin’ to Glide.”
