Sami happily accepted a glass and praised her clever hubby, but during his toast, he called his wife out for cheating. Sami, sure that any evidence against her burned in the fireplace, immediately went on the defensive, claiming Nicole was lying as payback for Sami destroying her marriage to Eric. When EJ pressed for the truth, she quietly admitted it happened once, when she thought she and Lucas were going to die. EJ, stone-faced, asked Sami to confirm it was one time only, and she did, breaking down in tears as she implored EJ to forgive her and get past it. “We could have, if you told me the truth just now,” he responded coldly, then revealed that he had the telltale letter from Kristen.
