Sleep is a healing process where the body melts away all the stress which we build and store in the body and mind after a long day’s work. In fact, studies show that people dealing with chronic stress report a shorter sleep duration, poor sleep quality and increased daytime functioning impairment. Additionally, insomnia or insufficient sleep lead to a poor immune system, thereby increasing the chances of bacterial and viral infections.
