Meghan, 40, wowed in a stunning red gown by Carolina Herrera at the Salute To Freedom Gala in the city’s Intrepid Museum.
Her husband Prince Harry, who served in the British Army for 10 years, wore a black tuxedo displaying his medals, plus his Neck Order and Star for Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.
Both also wore a poppy to mark Armistice Day – the US equivalent of Remembrance Day – and smiled for the cameras as they made their way onto the historic aircraft carrier Intrepid.
Asked if she was proud of her husband’s military record, Meghan replied, “I’m always proud of him.”
Harry, 37, presented five Intrepid Valor Awards to service members, veterans and military families, and gave a speech in which he joked he is “living the American Dream”.
