Casey Batchelor on losing 2½st, the mental and physical benefits of yoga and how she fits in workouts with three kids under four
GEMMA MCCARTNEY

Casey Batchelor has become a bit of an expert at slimming down. Following two previous weight-shedding missions, this time the 37year-old has dropped two and a half stone since August.

The former model and Celebrity Big Brother star, who welcomed her third daughter, Daisy, in June, adopted a calorie-controlled diet and followed her Yoga Blitz plan – an app she created in 2018 after the birth of her first daughter Florence, now three.

And Casey, who now weighs 8st 7lb, tells us she’s feeling good. As well as reaping the benefits of her new fitness regime, she has seen an improvement in her mental health too, after having anxiety during the first lockdown.

“I feel healthier and that’s so important in every aspect of life because when you’re feeling healthy and you’re releasing the endorphins, you feel like a better person,” she tells us.

The mum-of-three, who also has 23-month-old Sadie with her businessman fiancé Dane Goodson, is now thinking ahead to 2022 and whether a fourth baby or a wedding will be on the cards for her.

Here, Casey, who has lost an impressive nine stone in total since creating her app, gives us her top fitness tips, tells us how she fits her workouts in with three small children and spills on family life with her little girls…

Hi Casey! You’ve done it again – congratulations!

It’s the third time it’s worked. I know if I need to lose any weight I can do the Yoga Blitz and it helps my mental health as well. I’ve basically had two lockdown babies. I had Sadie in January [2020] and then at the end of March we went into the first lockdown. I was at home on my own with Sadie and Florence. It was really lonely and your anxiety plays havoc with you. Then the restrictions were lifted and then I fell pregnant and we had lockdown again [with Daisy]. It wasn’t good. Doing meditation and yoga in general definitely helped with anxiety.
