Oti moves on to ‘bigger and better things'

As Oti Mabuse’s Strictly journey comes to an end, sources tell new this is just the beginning for the star

Fans of Strictly Come Dancing were shocked last week when Oti Mabuse announced she was leaving the show after seven successful years.

The dancer, who is currently appearing as a judge on ITV’s Dancing On Ice, has been a huge part of the BBC’s flagship Saturday night show, winning two Glitterball trophies over the years.

But a source has told new that Oti, 31, is ready for new challenges and has an exciting future ahead of her.

“Oti is going on to bigger and better things. She’s getting major TV jobs and is doing much more than just being a dancer on Strictly,” the source told us.

“Oti has star quality – she has what many of the dancers on that show want. She wanted to leave Strictly on her own terms, even though it was one of the hardest decisions she’s ever had to make. She’s going out on top.”
