NAIL YOUR NEW YEAR EXERCISE REGIME

Getting into a regular exercise regime is not only great for your body, it works wonders for your mind, too. But you don’t have to run for miles or sweat it out at the gym. Personal trainer Krissy Cela reveals the small changes you can make to your lifestyle that will produce big results...

START SMALL

If you’re a novice, it’s best to begin with the smallest habits that you can incorporate easily into your lifestyle. Start by going for a 10-minute walk, then change it to 11 minutes, then 12, and so on. It is the same thing with working out. Go and pick up two 1KG dumbbells, then work that weight up gradually. It is all about subtle progression.
