Liam Payne has opened up about his break-up from Cheryl Tweedy, admitting that becoming a father to son Bear in 2017 at the age of just 23 "ruined their relationship" but for "all the right reasons".
On a podcast last week, the singer said, "I put my time in with my son. Also, I like to speak to new dads also as you don't know what's coming and it's different. To be honest with you, it ruined a relationship for me from that point but for all the right reasons."
And Liam, 28, now has nothing but the highest praise for former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl, 38, describing her as "the best mum in the world".
He also said their now-platonic relationship has gone from strength to strength since the split.
