Under relentless questioning from Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, Fauci angrily denied he silenced scientists who believed the virus was manmade in China’s Wuhan lab, and strong-armed them into changing their tune.
During the tense testimony, Fauci also accused Paul of personally attacking him for “political gain,” distorting “everything” he says and inspiring “crazies” to want to kill him.
The senator specifically referenced Tulane University virologist Robert F. Garry, who initially supported the lab leak theory but suddenly changed his mind after a powwow with Fauci, according to insiders!
“You personally attack me, and with absolutely not a shred of evidence of anything you say,” Fauci fired back at the stunned lawmaker.
