ATTACK ON CAPITOL HILL!

HEAVILY armed bands of rightwing extremists, brainwashed militiamen and conspiracy-crazy fanatics came within minutes of overthrowing America's democracy during the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on our nation's Capitol, a bombshell yearlong National ENQUIRER investigation has revealed.

"Had the rioters been five to ten minutes faster in getting to the congressmen and women before they were tucked into the bunkers below the Capitol Building, there's really no telling what would have followed," Dr. Nicholas Creel, assistant professor and political scientist at Georgia College and State University, told The ENQUIRER. "We almost lost the republic. We were C minutes away. It was that close."

Even more frightening, Creel believes the uprising against the U.S. government is just getting started!

"Jan. 6 shows we're well past the threat stage," Creel warned. “We're in the middle of an existential crisis."

The brutal, terrifying attack on the most hallowed halls of American government was a desperate attempt to overturn the election of President Joe Biden. Although the coup didn't succeed, the battle left five people dead and will forever remain a blot on the nation's historical role as a worldwide beacon of democracy.

Now, as the FBI continues to make arrests, investigators have been able to unmask key players who'd planned the riot for months, using dark web and encrypted messaging apps. Organizers were a hodgepodge of at least a dozen right-wing groups with disparate names like the Three Percenters, the Nationalist Socialist Club, Proud Boys and No White Guilt, experts said.
