Having been in the profession of suggesting healthy eating portions to the conscious eaters in the City of Joy for a decade, Hena Nafis has now launched Eat Good Food café as a destination for healthy indulgence and a haven for guilt-free eating. She insists her project is the harbinger of a huge future trend in health eateries.

As you walk down a quaint street of Ballygunge in south-central Kolkata, there is a tiny pretty café that will catch your eye. We suggest you walk in. The colours inside are muted, the aromas wafting out of the kitchen fresh and the ambience is quiet and peaceful. The Eat Good Food café propagates the concept of organic eating and nutritious, wholesome food.

I would find that the majority of my patients, even the most dedicated ones, would lose their self control and motivation whenever they went to a restaurant. They would come back to me with guilt and frustration at their non-compliance. This egged me to start EGF. I feel EGF empowers people to live a healthy life happily, making them eat good and feel good. Health food restaurants are growing as a trend too,” says Hena.
