The Rajbari Bawali stands grand in all its white and brick-walled glory, every stone taking you back to the days of yore… when long sunny corridors resonated with familiar laughter and chatter, when gardens invited with its lushness and fresh blooms spread their aroma around. When young boys splashed around in ponds after filling themselves with the ripe guavas hanging from trees in the gardens and women completed their ablutions early so that they could cook a hearty meal for the whole family. When days passed in a lazy slumber and evenings were about families sitting and laughing together. When meals meant hearty multi-course home-cooked delicacies. Speed, stress and rush were words unheard of. The age of innocence and simplicity infused happiness into every soul. The Rajbari Bawali, a luxury heritage, romantic and wellness retreat situated in the buzzing town of Budge Budge, is an ode to that time gone by.
