Malaika Arora is the very embodiment of glamour. Be it on the red carpet in elegant couture, hanging out with her BFFs in a slinky little black dress, or strutting out of a Bandra café in a knotted white tee and ripped jeans, she's graceful and ever so chic.
To the world, she's the sizzling siren who left many a jaw dropped with her sensual advertisement with ex-husband Arbaaz Khan in 1993. The beautiful woman who shot to fame with a cover of a leading magazine in the 90s and as a popular veejay on MTV. And there's no forgetting Malaika's Bollywood debut atop a moving train with Shah Rukh Khan, which introduced the world to the moves she's capable of. In no time, Malaika established herself as one of the best dancers in the industry, even judging a number of popular shows such as Nach Baliye, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa and India's Got Talent.
However, in the safe space of her home, away from the prying eyes of the cameras that always follow her, this 48-year-old dons an entirely different avatar. Besides being a fierce entrepreneur with a voracious appetite for food, fashion, and fitness — her three greatest passions - Malaika is a doting mother to Arhaan Khan, her son with Arbaaz, a loving sister to Amrita Arora, a thoughtful daughter to her mother Joyce Arora and a caring girlfriend to actor Arjun Kapoor.
She wears many hats with enviable ease, a champ at juggling the various roles she plays. Malaika also has a calm, soothing aura about her and a softness in her candour that puts this writer at ease, at the scintillating shoot for HELLO!.
