I think tableware, tea sets, dinner sets, glasses, cutlery, silverware, serveware, bedding and affordable art make good festive season gifts. One could also look at coasters, trays, boxes and bath sets.
Any special decorations for your home?
Yes, I use a lot of warm colours. I also layout a classic Indian table setting with all our silver or silver-plated serveware.
Your expert tips on setting up a house for Diwali.
During Diwali, you can change your soft furnishings, curtains and cushions. You can also paint the walls or use wallpaper. Put up a good chandelier or a standing lamp to add some glamour to your home. And, of course, diyas with a beautiful rangoli.
