NASCAR “Rocket Man” Ryan Newman may never race again after barely surviving a horrific crash that engulfed him in a deadly ball of flames during the final lap of the Daytona 500!
Newman, 42, was just seconds away from the win and zooming at a blinding 195 mph when he was bumped by teammate Ryan Blaney, who was trying to nudge him past leader Denny Hamlin, the eventual winner.
Newman’s No. 6 Ford Mustang spun into a wall, shot into the air and flipped onto its roof. Then, following driver Corey LaJoie slammed into Newman, sending his car skidding along the course and triggering sparks that ignited a fireball.
