Research animals slaughtered instead of being set free

HEARTLESS space cases killed all 27 research monkeys held at NASA’s Silicon Valley lab on one deadly day — instead of sending the innocent animals to a sanctuary, recently unearthed documents reveal.

The poor primates — used as test animals — were secretly put down with drugs on Feb. 2, 2019, at the Ames Research Center in California, official records show, but the massacre wasn’t discovered until late 2020.
