SPEND-CRAZY boxer Mike Tyson blew more than $1 million in less than two hours the day before the Vegas title fight where he bit off a chunk of opponent Evander Holyfield’s ear, a prominent sportscaster says!
In his new book, Talking to GOATs: The Moments You Remember and the Stories You Never Heard, sports anchor Jim Gray says Tyson’s toothy 1997 attack on defending champ Holyfield marked the tail end of a crazed rampage through Las Vegas fueled by a $30 million advance for the match!
According to Gray, Tyson met with promoter Don King at the MGM Grand fight center and was handed his paycheck with the words, “I’ll see you tomorrow night. Now, just don’t get into any trouble tonight, my brother. Just keep it calm.”
