LAYING off booze for a month can reverse liver damage, high blood pressure, weight gain, and other bad health effects caused by alcohol, say health experts.
The bounce-back news is more important than ever since the COVID pandemic and lockdowns have boosted boozing and more people are guzzling to beat stress, scientists say.
Former mental health nurse Lou Sommereux notes "while it may seem like a quick fix, alcohol often ends up making the problem much worse because of the effect alcohol has on the brain.
