Grabs power as queen, 95, mourns her hubby’s death

PRINCE CHARLES has taken control of Britain’s monarchy — backed by the palace’s Grey Men — and is now king in all but name as his widowed mother, Queen Elizabeth, is shattered by grief, sources tell GLOBE.

Following his father Philip’s death at 99 on April 9, the palace announced Charles would assume all the late royal consort’s duties and take his place at the 95-year-old monarch’s side at official events like the May 11 opening of Parliament.

“It is a clear signal Prince Charles is now in full control,” says a palace courtier.
