A U.S. Air Force bomber dropped a nuke on a home in rural South Carolina that was ten times more powerful than the A-bomb that destroyed Hiroshima, Japan, and brought an end to World War II!

The terrifying "oopsie,” as the military called the horrifying snafu, was one of at least 32 chilling blunders with atomic weapons on U.S. soil during the Cold War in the late 1950s and '60s.

At the time, the Air Force kept bombers armed with nukes flying 24/7 so they'd be ready on a moment's notice to jet to the communist Soviet Union and drop their terrifying payloads.
