Love Sonia Girl, Mrunal Thakur, Is Excited About Her Widening Horizons, Writes Raghuvendra Singh
It couldn’t have got bigger for Mrunal Thakur. The television star took a big leap when she was paired with superstar Hrithik Roshan in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Super 30. Recently, she won praise for her sensitive performance as Sonia in Tabrez Noorani’s Love Sonia. Here she shared screen space with actors Manoj Bajpayee, Freida Pinto, Demi Moore, Rajkummar Rao and Richa Chadda. Co-produced by David Womark, this IndoAmerican film was based on human trafficking. The young actor reportedly stayed near a brothel in Kolkata to study the body language of prostitutes for the film. “A TV actress told me she was inspired with my transition to the big screen. That makes me proud, like I’ve passed with distinction,” she smiles.
