The Filmfare South Awards are my favourite.
Not because I’m a South Indian. I’m a diehard Hindi commercial cinema junkie and can quote ’80s Bollywood trivia at any given time. I’m happy because South films are leagues and leagues ahead of Hindi cinema when it comes to picking stories. And because of the South edition of our awards I get to know about the best of them.
