As the young boy who gives into his voyeuristic impulses in the Manisha Koirala starrer Ek Chhotisi Love Story (2002), Aditya Seal hit the headlines. “It was a big thing for me… a young 14-year-old boy being paired opposite Manisha Koirala the star,” he recounts his ‘small big’ break. The Shashilal Nair film was embroiled in controversy when Manisha alleged that the filmmaker, against her permission, had used a body double for objectionable scenes in the film. “I was a kid. So I was kept out of the storm. But surely the controversy was not whipped up for the sake of getting publicity for the film as alleged,” says Aditya.

After that, Aditya went back to academics. He completed BMM from Raheja College. Next he attended The Barry John Acting Studio and The Kreating Charakters acting school to polish his skills. He went on to play the second lead in Purani Jeans in 2014 with Tanuj Virwani. The film didn’t do well at the box-office but he has no regrets. “Eros is a great banner to work with. I loved the script, hence I did it,” he claims.
