Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran has received rave reviews and actor-producer John Abraham’s relief is palpable. The pale ghost of apprehension is no longer haunting his brow. His eyes are smiling again. “We showed this film to an air force couple. After watching the film, they said, ‘Son, this is the best film on India. It should be included in the curriculum of every school and college’,” shares a proud John. Based on the nuclear bomb test explosions done in 1998 in Pokhran, Rajasthan, the film has been directed by Abhishek Sharma. It was the second time such tests were done there, the first being in 1972. The film is based on the fictionalised version of the events leading up to the tests and features Diana Penty and Boman Irani alongside John.
