STRETCH IT OUT: To be flexible, you need to stretch. But instead of doing the usual lunges and squats, try using stretch bands to get muscles and joints through their full range of motion. For the best results, stretch frequently, says Polly de Mille, exercise physiologist at the Hospital for Special Surgery's Sports Rehabilitation and Performance Center. Flexibility gains are hard won and easily lost.
