She has her girl-next-door charm perfected but behind the sweet girl lies a witty, vivacious one waiting to spring out. While she awaits the release of her next Sanam Re, we chatted the girl up about all things love!

Love – what we think of it as youngsters and what we grow into expecting from it are diverse! How has your definition of it changed?

I never wanted a Prince Charming, from the very beginning. I was a Hindi film buff; if you asked me what my ideal guy was like I would have to pick between Raj, Rahul and Prem! But of course, times have changed and my definition of love has evolved since. I think for me today love is not mushiness, it is a lot more about understanding, friendship, trust, honesty – wherein you don’t go pretending to be someone you are not! That’s my understanding of the emotion today! Today when I see a guy, I also see the way he respects women, whether he is kind and compassionate to people around him - I am not seeing just his looks or his swag. The concept of Mr. Right is a lot like expecting someone to be Mr. Perfect, which is wrong on many levels. How can I expect someone to be perfect when I myself have so many flaws? Love is all about accepting each other, of course there are a lot of adjustments required too, but these have to come from within. If I feel that changing a few things about myself would make the relationship better, then I would just go ahead and do it.
